Elegantly, gracefully dancing among the heavens. Mingling with the stars in radiant brilliance, emphatic effulgence.
A distant smile cast in my direction, an innocent, unknowing invitation to yearning. A longing left burning, unsated, remaining.
I find that I cannot look away. Paralyzed, basking in your cool, bright glow until you are taken by the day, unable to follow, I wait.
Though there is known no release from this craving, I cannot resist. Your resistance unwaiving, persisting unabated.
Fortunate to find myself in your presence, there’s no avoiding frustration. Floating here before me, still my reach unattaining, though relentless, unwavering.
Ever eluding, there‘s no losing your scent. It’s difficult not to feel despondent, as the daybreak obscures you, I collapse, burned out, exhausted.
In the dim light of morning, I clearly see my regret. Yet it’s clear that you’re returning, so only slightly shaken, still debating, I wait.
